Virtual Extensions
Looks like a standard phone system to the caller, but allows the extension
owner to be anywhere in the world.
- Ideal for mobile or telecommuting employees.
- Allows easy integration of employees in multiple offices
- Virtual extensions can be changed dynamically or marked as available/
unavailable at any time.
Follow-Me Calling
Gives 24-hour access to all your extension owners, wherever they are.
- The VirtualPBX dials all contact numbers until it finds the
extension owner
- Store up to 4 contact numbers, 2 fax numbers, and a pager number for
each extension
- Contact numbers can be changed on the fly or marked as active or
inactive at any time
Virtual Call Center
A unique dynamically-configurable automated call distribution (ACD) system
allows a business to build virtual call centers
- Callers are queued for the next available agent, and then connected
to a virtual extension
- Enables agents to work from home, or answer calls from remote offices,
cellular phones, etc.
- Up to 8 ACD queues can be set up, with different sets of virtual
extensions (i.e., sales, customer support, technical support, etc.)
- Callers can be transferred from a VirtualPBX extension to
any ACD queue
- Overflow ACD queues can be defined so that when all agents are busy
in one ACD queue, new callers would be routed to the overflow ACD queue.
- Extension owners log into ACD queues when they want to take calls,
and log out of the queues when they don't want to take calls.
VirtualDID (Direct Inward Dial)
VirtualDID is used to block calls to the VirtualPBX, or automatically route
calls based upon the area code, area code and exchange, or phone number that
the call came from.
Calls can be routed to:
- Extensions
- ACD queues
- Extension fax mail boxes
This allows the VirtualPBX to perform geographic routing services, i.e., route
all calls from a particular area code to a particular sales queue as an
example. Or, individual extension owners can forward their existing phone
number to the VirtualPBX and have any calls to their existing number be routed
directly to their extension without their callers having to know what that
extension is. In a similar manner, extension owners can forward a fax number
to the VirtualPBX and all faxes sent to them at that number will be
automatically routed to their fax mail box in the VirtualPBX, allowing them
to access their faxes from anywhere.
Dynamic Operator Extensions
Dialing zero connects caller to the extension you designate as the operator.
- Operator can be dynamically redefined at any time
- Separate operator extensions can be defined for the VirtualPBX
and each ACD queue
Music-On-Hold
The VirtualPBX can play either music-on-hold or custom
information messages-on-hold for each VirtualPBX, and each individual
ACD queue.
VirtualPBX Music Jukebox
Music-on-hold is set using the Music Jukebox. The
following categories of music are available:
- Symphony
- Country & Western
- Easy Listening
- Folk Music
- Rhythm & Blues
- Rock & Roll
- Other - Surf Tunes
Information Message-On-Hold
Instead of music-on-hold, the VirtualPBX can play custom
information messages at any time to callers on hold.
- System administrator can record or edit individual messages for the
VirtualPBX or any of the ACD queues at any time
- Toggle between the current information message and music-on-hold for
the VirtualPBX and each ACD queue
