What To Do When Your Phone System Fails

If you are signed up for VirtualPBX.Com's PBXParachute service and your phone system fails, what steps do you take to implement your PBX disaster recovery plan? It's easy!

  • First, call VirtualPBX.Com (formerly Advanced Queuing Systems) and tell them that you want to deploy your PBXParachute because your phone system has failed or is offline.
  • Next, call your local telephone company and have them forward all calls from your local phone number to your PBXParachute toll-free number.
That's all there is to it. As soon as the phone number is forwarded, all calls to your local phone number will be answered by your VirtualPBX auto-attendant greeting, and your callers will be able to transfer calls to your employees at whatever contact phone numbers they have stored for their extensions, at their home, on their cell phone, etc. Your employees will have immediate access to their extensions to change their extension call routing instructions, access their voice and fax mail, set follow-me calling instructions, or login to ACD queues and take calls.
